A gesture of compassion, community, and cultural respect during the holy month.

In honor of Ramadan, the sacred month observed by Muslims around the world as a time of prayer, reflection, and fasting from dawn until sunset, Glam Habitat Hotel in Phuket joined the local community in a meaningful gesture of kindness and unity. The hotel organized a donation of traditional sweets to Kamala Mosque to support the evening breaking of fast, known as iftar.
This initiative was made possible by the heartfelt collaboration of the hotel’s staff, who came together to prepare, package, and hand-deliver boxes of local desserts. The treats included favorites often served during Ramadan such as steamed banana cakes, sticky rice with coconut topping, and other regional sweets—all chosen with respect to Islamic customs and cultural preferences.
More than just a donation, the activity became an uplifting experience for the entire team. Staff from diverse backgrounds, including both Thai and international members, participated in the preparation. It was a chance for everyone to learn about the meaning of Ramadan and the values it upholds: patience, generosity, gratitude, and humility.
The atmosphere during the packaging process was filled with joy and togetherness. Laughter and learning went hand in hand, and for many, it became a moment of cultural appreciation and empathy. The team gained a deeper understanding of Islamic traditions and the spirit of community during this special time.
At Glam Habitat, we believe that true hospitality extends beyond our guests—it begins with being part of the local community. By engaging with nearby institutions like Kamala Mosque and respecting religious observances, we strengthen the bonds that connect us all.
This small act of giving is a reflection of the hotel’s core values: inclusivity, mutual respect, and social responsibility. We strive to be a hotel that not only provides exceptional service but also contributes meaningfully to the social and cultural fabric of Kamala and Phuket.
We hope that through this humble offering, we’ve not only helped nourish the body after a day of fasting but also nurtured a sense of unity and respect. It is in these simple, sincere acts that true hospitality is found.
At Glam Habitat, we are proud to say:
“Hospitality is not just what we do, it’s who we are.”
And this Ramadan, we were reminded that the most powerful gestures are those made from the heart.
