Excellent stay – private, comfortable and close to Kamala Beach

We had a very enjoyable stay at Glam Habitat Kamala, and overall I would definitely give the hotel 5 stars.

The room was spacious, modern and extremely comfortable. We especially enjoyed having our own private swimming pool, which made the stay feel relaxing and secluded. The private pool is more suitable for relaxing and cooling off rather than swimming, as it is relatively compact. For those looking for more space, the hotel also has a larger outdoor swimming pool for guests, which is a nice option, especially for families and kids.

Privacy was generally very good, although we noticed that from one particular outside window/angle, someone could potentially see part of the private pool area. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but improving this would make the private-pool experience even better.

The room itself was one of the highlights. The automatic curtains were a really nice touch, and the layout provided good separation and privacy between the bedroom, bathroom and living area. The bed was very comfortable, everything felt clean, and we surprisingly had no issues with insects, which was something we really appreciated.

Another small detail we liked was having plates, cutlery and other basic dining items available in the room. This was very useful when ordering food through Grab and made eating in the room much more convenient.

The hotel also offers a Happy Hour from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with complimentary ice cream, which was a lovely touch, especially in Phuket’s hot weather. It’s a simple idea, but definitely something we enjoyed.

Sound insulation was also very good — I would say around 90%. However, on some nights we could hear distant music or other sounds from the surrounding area late at night. It wasn’t necessarily coming from inside the hotel, but it was noticeable.

The location is excellent if you want to stay around Kamala Beach, which is only around 4–5 minutes’ walk away. Most restaurants, cafés and activities are closer to the beach. We also discovered a small local market within walking distance on the other side of the hotel, which was nice for exploring the area.

For Muslim travelers, one point to consider is that halal food options in the immediate area are limited compared with some other parts of Phuket. We didn’t take the hotel breakfast and mostly used Grab for food delivery, which worked very well and was convenient.

There are also attractions nearby, including Carnival Magic and Phuket FantaSea, which were recommended to us locally and are convenient to reach from the hotel.

My only disappointment was the non-refundable booking policy. Because of the nighttime noise and because we were considering spending one night in another area, I contacted the hotel to ask whether they could exceptionally refund one unused night, but unfortunately they couldn’t accommodate the request. I understand this was the booking policy, although some flexibility would have made an already excellent experience even better.

Overall, it was a very comfortable, clean and relaxing stay. The private pool, spacious room, thoughtful amenities, afternoon ice cream, larger outdoor pool and proximity to Kamala Beach made it a very enjoyable experience.

My wife and I booked our trip to Thailand, two weeks and we spent 1 full week (7 days) at GH Hotel in Kamala Beach and did not regret it!  A few things we really liked!

1) The room was big! Plenty of space, a very confortable bed, hot shower, and the private pool access.

2) Very close to beach! Walkable and a lot of nice beachside restaurants options to try

3) The staff! Nice and friendly, always smiling and willing to help.

If you’re looking for a relaxing/quiet part of Phuket to stay, with the easy option to Grab/Taxi to Patong or Phuket Town if you want more excitement, stay here!

We had a very good stay at Glam Habitat. The hotel has an excellent location, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. The staff were one of the highlights of our stay — always smiling, friendly, helpful, and ready to assist whenever needed.

Our children especially enjoyed having an Xbox available, which was a very nice touch for families. We also appreciated the complimentary refreshments and ice cream offered every day from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, which added something special to the stay.

One point that could be improved is the policy regarding kitchen items. Guests are informed that they will be charged if any kitchen item is broken or damaged, which is understandable. However, there is no clear price list showing the replacement cost of each item. It would be better and more transparent to provide guests with a list of charges in advance.

Overall, Glam Habitat is a very good choice for families, with a great location, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and thoughtful complimentary services. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.
