4. Policy Commitments and Procedures (Action Plan)

To translate this policy into practice, and to strengthen our EDI standards year over year, Glam Habitat Hotel commits to the following actions:

  • Maintain this written Equality, Diversity & Inclusivity Policy, communicated to all staff and made available to guests, suppliers, and business partners on request.
  • Deliver non-discrimination training to all employees at least once per year, covering respectful communication, cultural awareness, and the prevention of discrimination and harassment.
  • Provide a clear, confidential channel through which employees can raise complaints or concerns about discrimination, bullying, or harassment, with a defined process for investigation and resolution.
  • Apply Equal Opportunity Employment principles throughout recruitment and selection, ensuring job advertisements, interviews, and hiring decisions are free from discriminatory criteria.
  • Provide equal, high-quality service to all guests irrespective of race, religion, gender, age, or disability.
  • Review and improve facilities for guests with disabilities, including ramps, accessible rooms, and appropriate staff assistance, as part of ongoing property improvements.
  • Review this EDI Policy annually to ensure it remains current, effective, and aligned with applicable laws and best practice.

5. Responsibility and Governance

The General Manager and Human Resources department are responsible for implementing this policy, delivering training, maintaining the complaints channel, and reporting on EDI progress. All managers are responsible for modelling and upholding these standards within their teams. All employees share responsibility for treating colleagues, guests, and partners with dignity and respect.

6. Publication and Review

This policy is published on the Glam Habitat Hotel website to provide transparency to guests, employees, suppliers, and assessors.
