On 18–19 September 2026, the Glam Habitat team swapped uniforms for life jackets and helmets for Outing 2026, our annual staff trip — two days in Phang Nga packed with white-water rafting, ATV trails, an elephant hello and, as always, a matching team jersey with a mascot that’s a little too pleased with itself.
All Aboard for Outing 2026
The trip kicked off the way any good staff outing should: everyone in matching navy “Outing 2026” jerseys, piling into a decorated, neon-lit party truck for the ride out of Phuket. Between the music, the drinks and twenty-odd people trying to get a good selfie at once, it set the tone early — this was never going to be a quiet two days.
Into the Rapids
First stop was the river, where our team helmeted up, paired into rafts and took on the rapids — paddles up, splashing everyone within reach, and cheering their way down every drop. A few team members ended up more in the river than in the raft, which, judging by the laughter, was half the fun.
Mud, Wheels and Rubber Plantations
Next came the ATVs — ridden in pairs down trails through the countryside near the camp. Between the mud sprays and the sharp turns, it was less about speed and more about not falling behind the person in front of you.
A Gentle Giant Along the Way
After all that mud and rapids, a quieter moment: feeding a resident elephant by hand at the camp, one banana at a time. It’s the kind of stop that slows everyone down for a minute — a nice contrast to the rest of the day’s adrenaline.
Games, Laughs and a Few Odd Talents
Between activities, rest stops turned into impromptu game sessions — a hula hoop making its way down a line of teammates, a candy-passing relay using nothing but straws and a lot of nerve, and no shortage of good-natured heckling from whoever was watching. It’s these small, silly moments between the big activities that people usually end up talking about the most.
Cheers to the Team
By the end of day one, everyone was some combination of soaked, muddy and sunburnt — the perfect excuse for a well-earned drink and a moment to compare notes on the day’s best (and worst) rafting moments.
