From 22-25 July 2026, a member of the Glam Habitat team took part in a 30-hour "Inventory Management" training course held at the Phuket Provincial Skill Development Institute, running each day from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
A Program Backed by the Department of Skill Development
The course was organized under the "Developing Workforce Potential to Drive Sustainable Economic and Social Growth" project, as part of an activity aimed at building personnel capacity for the logistics and supply chain industry. It was offered free of charge, and participants who complete the course receive a certificate from Thailand's Department of Skill Development.
Four Days of Practical Inventory Management
Over four days, the course covered a broad range of inventory and operations topics: classifying stock using the ABC inventory system, demand forecasting techniques, Lean principles and the Toyota Production System, the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) improvement cycle, and quality management in service operations. Lectures were paired with case studies and hands-on exercises, giving participants a chance to work through real inventory and classification problems alongside the theory.
Why This Matters to Us
Good inventory management sits quietly behind a lot of what makes a stay at Glam Habitat run smoothly, from a well-stocked pantry to housekeeping supplies always being where they need to be. Building this kind of skill within our team means sharper planning, less waste, and a smoother back of house overall. We're glad to have had the chance to take part alongside other professionals from Phuket's logistics and supply chain community.
Thank you to the Phuket Provincial Skill Development Institute for organizing the course, and to our team member for representing Glam Habitat throughout the four days.
Book your stay at Glam Habitat Hotel and experience the difference a well-run team makes.
