Advancing Energy Efficiency in the Hospitality Industry

On October 3, 2025, hospitality professionals, engineers, and sustainability experts from across Thailand gathered at the Metropole Grand Ballroom, Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town, to participate in the Specialist Seminar on Sustainable Hospitality: “Advancing Energy Efficiency in Buildings.” The full-day seminar, held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., aimed to promote innovative solutions and share knowledge that can drive the hospitality industry toward a more energy-efficient and environmentally responsible future.

The event featured speakers and specialists from the Energy Policy and Planning Office, the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, and various private organizations dedicated to sustainable development. Through keynote sessions, discussions, and technical presentations, participants learned about the latest advancements in energy-saving technology, green building standards, and smart management systems that enhance both efficiency and guest comfort.

The seminar also provided a valuable platform for exchanging experiences and best practices in areas such as energy-efficient architecture, renewable energy applications, and resource management. Topics included smart monitoring systems, sustainable building design, and cost-effective operational strategies to reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption. These insights are essential for the hospitality sector, where energy demand is high and sustainability plays a key role in brand reputation and long-term success.

Representatives from Glam Habitat Hotel attended the seminar to expand their knowledge and explore practical approaches for improving energy performance within hotel operations. This aligns with Glam Habitat’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable hospitality. The hotel continues to adopt energy-efficient practices—ranging from LED lighting and eco-friendly air-conditioning systems to water-saving technologies and waste reduction measures—to ensure a responsible and sustainable guest experience.

By engaging in knowledge-sharing events such as this seminar, Glam Habitat Hotel supports Thailand’s Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model, which promotes eco-conscious innovation and sustainable economic growth. The insights gained from the seminar will contribute to the hotel’s continuous improvement efforts and help further reduce its environmental footprint.

The Specialist Seminar on Sustainable Hospitality: “Advancing Energy Efficiency in Buildings” successfully emphasized the importance of collaboration between government agencies, private sectors, and hospitality professionals. By working together, the industry can accelerate the transition toward more sustainable, energy-efficient operations and set new standards for responsible tourism across Thailand and beyond.
