Glam Habitat Hotel in Phuket recently hosted its Annual Health Check-Up and Wellness Training for 2024, reaffirming its commitment to the health, safety, and overall well-being of its team members. This initiative forms part of the hotel’s long-standing policy to promote a healthy workplace environment and sustainable hospitality operations.
The event was held on-site at the hotel and featured a collaboration with healthcare professionals and public health officers from Kamala Subdistrict. All employees were given complimentary general health screenings, including blood pressure checks, blood sugar level testing, BMI assessments, cholesterol tests, and personalized health consultations. The goal was to help staff monitor their current health status and receive guidance on how to improve their lifestyle for long-term well-being.
Beyond the medical check-ups, the program also included a wellness training session covering essential topics such as disease prevention, stress management, ergonomic care in the workplace, and personal hygiene practices. Employees learned how to incorporate simple wellness routines into their daily work life, including proper posture, hydration, balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, and mental health awareness.
A key highlight of the event was the interactive Q&A with the health team, where staff had the opportunity to ask questions and receive tailored advice on health concerns. This helped foster a culture of openness, learning, and mutual support among employees and management.
All participating staff received an official health certificate from the public health team, which can be used as part of their personal and employment records. More importantly, the initiative demonstrated the hotel’s dedication to fostering a caring and supportive work environment.
