Promoting safety through community collaboration and emergency preparedness at Kamala Beach.

On Thursday, June 26, 2025, Glam Habitat Hotel in Phuket participated in a tsunami evacuation drill organized by the Kamala Subdistrict Administrative Organization. The event brought together several leading hotels and local establishments, including InterContinental Phuket, Keemala, Twinpalms, Park Hyatt, and The Marin, among others.
This important drill aimed to enhance disaster preparedness and raise awareness of potential natural hazards, especially tsunamis, which once caused widespread devastation in the 2004 tragedy. Glam Habitat’s participation reflects our strong commitment to guest safety, staff readiness, and corporate social responsibility toward the local community.
The simulation included multiple stages—from warning system activation to organized evacuation and coordination with public agencies. Our hotel staff took part enthusiastically, following the designated evacuation routes on foot and participating in workshops that provided practical knowledge on emergency response protocols.
This drill marks a significant step in strengthening Glam Habitat’s crisis management strategies. It also reinforces the vital role that private businesses can play in supporting the safety and resilience of the communities they serve.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Kamala Subdistrict Administration, all government agencies involved, and our fellow hospitality partners who joined forces to make this event a success. Glam Habitat Hotel remains committed to continuously improving our emergency plans and fostering a culture of preparedness—ensuring that safety and peace of mind are always at the heart of every guest experience.
