On Wednesday 7 October 2026, Glam Habitat Hotel Kamala Beach Phuket held its annual staff health check right here at the hotel. A medical team from Phuket International Hospital set up a series of screening stations around the property, so more than 40 of our team members could complete their check-ups during the working day without needing to travel to a clinic.
A Health Check That Comes to the Team
Our people look after our guests every day, so looking after them is one of our priorities. Bringing the hospital team on site makes it easy for everyone to take part: staff stepped away from their department for a short while, moved through each station, and were back at work shortly after. The day was organised as a simple flow — registration first, then blood pressure, height and weight, blood collection, and finally a chest X-ray.
Programmes Tailored to Each Role
Rather than one standard package, the check-ups were arranged into programmes based on each person’s role and age group. Every programme covered the essentials — a physical examination, blood pressure and BMI, a chest X-ray and core blood and urine tests. Our Food & Beverage team also received additional food-safety screening, as is good practice for anyone who prepares and serves food, while older team members and managers had extended blood panels, with heart (EKG) checks included for management.
Mobile X-Ray on Site
A mobile X-ray unit parked at the hotel meant chest X-rays could be done in just a few minutes, right outside the building. Individual results go privately to each team member, giving everyone a clear picture of their own health and an early prompt to follow up on anything that needs attention.
