Turning Used Cooking Oil into Sustainable Energy for a Greener Future

Glam Habitat Hotel is proud to announce our participation in the “Grease to Green & Fry to Fly” initiative in collaboration with Frycycle Thailand. This achievement reflects our strong commitment to sustainable hospitality and responsible environmental practices in Phuket.

As part of this initiative, our hotel has joined a circular economy program that transforms used cooking oil into clean energy, including Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). This innovative solution helps reduce environmental impact by converting waste into valuable resources. Rather than being discarded, used cooking oil from our kitchen operations is collected and processed into low-carbon fuel, supporting the aviation industry in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Through our partnership with Frycycle, a leading provider of used cooking oil recycling services in Thailand, Glam Habitat ensures that all waste oil is managed responsibly. This collaboration supports our sustainability goals while contributing to a cleaner and more efficient energy cycle.

By attending the certification event and receiving official recognition from Frycycle, Glam Habitat Hotel reinforces its commitment to the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) economy model. This aligns with our broader sustainability strategy, which focuses on waste reduction, environmental protection, and collaboration with like-minded partners.

This milestone marks another important step in our journey to becoming a leading eco-conscious hotel in Phuket. We believe that even small actions—when carried out consistently—can create a meaningful and lasting impact on the environment.

Glam Habitat Hotel remains dedicated to enhancing our sustainability initiatives while continuing to provide exceptional hospitality experiences for our guests, today and for future generations.
